Returns & Refunds Policy

1. Our Quality Commitment
Design Yangu uses direct-to-garment (DTG) and screen printing methods that meet international quality standards. All products are inspected before dispatch. Our base products — fabrics, mugs, tote bags, and other substrates — are sourced from quality manufacturers and meet the specifications listed on each product page.
Because every product is custom-manufactured after you place your order, our returns process is specifically designed around quality issues and fulfilment errors — not change of mind. Please read the eligibility criteria below carefully before placing an order.
2. Eligible Returns and Refunds
We will issue a full refund or a free reprint for any of the following:
Manufacturing Defects
Misaligned print, faded or washed-out colours, ink bleed, cracking or peeling of print within the first wash, or stitching defects on garments.
Wrong Item Delivered
You received a different product, size, colour, or design from what you ordered and confirmed at checkout.
Shipping Damage
The product arrived physically damaged (torn fabric, broken mug, crushed packaging) due to handling in transit.
Significantly Different from Preview
The printed product differs substantially and materially from the design preview shown to you at checkout, caused by an error on our production side.
3. Non-Eligible Returns
Because each product is custom-printed specifically for your order, we are unable to accept returns for the following:
Customer Design Errors
Spelling mistakes, wrong colours, or design elements that were part of the design you approved before placing the order. Please proofread your design carefully in the preview before checking out.
Incorrect Size Selection
If our published size guide was available (it is shown on every product page) and you selected the wrong size, we cannot accept a return. We strongly recommend measuring yourself before ordering.
Change of Mind
Once production has begun, we cannot accept cancellations or returns because you changed your mind, no longer want the item, or found a different product.
Low-Resolution Image Quality
If you uploaded a low-resolution image, the editor will warn you. We print what we receive. If the print looks blurry and it reflects a low-res upload, that is not a manufacturing defect.
Slight Colour Variation
Due to differences between screen displays and physical print processes, minor colour variation between what you see on your device and the printed product is normal and expected. Significant variation is covered under eligible returns.
4. Time Limit
You must contact us within 7 calendar days of receiving your order to be eligible for a return or refund. Claims submitted after 7 days of delivery may not be accepted. The delivery date is determined by our courier records or the tracking system.
5. How to Submit a Return Claim
To request a return or refund, follow these steps within 7 days of receiving your order:
- 1Email us at info@designyangu.com with the subject line “Return Request — Order #[your order number]”
- 2In your email, include:
- Your order number (found in your dashboard or confirmation email)
- Your full name and the phone number used for the order
- A clear description of the issue
- 2–4 photographs clearly showing the defect, damage, or error — taken in good lighting. Photos should show the full product and a close-up of the issue.
- 3Our team will review your claim and respond within 2 business days with a resolution. You may be asked to return the defective item before a refund or reprint is issued.

6. Refund Process
Once your return claim is approved, we will offer you the choice of:
- A full refund to your original payment method (M-Pesa, card, or bank account), processed within 5–7 business days
- A free reprint of the same product, dispatched at no additional cost within our standard production and delivery timeline
For M-Pesa refunds: the amount will be sent directly to the Safaricom number used during checkout. For card refunds: the amount will be credited back to the original card, which may take 3–10 business days depending on your bank.
7. Delivery-Related Issues
If your order has been marked as delivered but you have not received it, contact us within 7 days of the stated delivery date. We will investigate with our courier partner and arrange a redelivery or refund as appropriate.
If a delivery attempt failed because of an incorrect address provided at checkout, additional redelivery charges may apply. Please double-check your delivery address before confirming payment.
