Print Technician
Operations
You will be responsible for operating our DTG and screen-printing equipment, maintaining print quality standards, conducting quality checks before dispatch, and keeping the production floor running efficiently. This is a hands-on role at the heart of what we do.
What You Will Do
- Operate direct-to-garment (DTG) and screen-printing machines
- Prepare substrates (garments, mugs, tote bags) for printing
- Review customer design files and flag quality or resolution issues before production
- Conduct quality control inspection of all printed products before packaging
- Maintain printing equipment — cleaning, calibration, basic maintenance
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards
- Coordinate with the fulfilment team on order packing and dispatch
- Report equipment issues and suggest process improvements
What We Are Looking For
- 1+ year of experience operating commercial printing equipment (DTG, screen printing, or sublimation)
- Keen eye for detail and strong quality awareness
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Basic understanding of colour profiles and print file specifications
- Physical fitness — this role involves standing for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with RIP software (Kothari, Wasatch, or similar)
- Knowledge of garment decoration techniques beyond printing (embroidery, vinyl)

Graphic Designer
Creative
You will shape the visual identity of Design Yangu — creating marketing assets, product templates, social media content, and UI design contributions. You understand Kenyan aesthetics and know how to make things look premium without losing their African identity.
What You Will Do
- Create marketing and social media graphics for Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, and WhatsApp
- Design product template collections that users can customise in the studio editor
- Develop campaign visuals, email headers, and landing page assets
- Collaborate with the engineering team on UI component design and visual polish
- Create product mockup compositions for the catalogue and marketplace
- Maintain and extend the Design Yangu brand design system
- Support designer partners with feedback on marketplace submissions
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of commercial graphic design experience
- Proficiency in Figma (required) and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating brand design, digital marketing, and layout work
- Understanding of African and specifically Kenyan visual culture and aesthetics
- Experience creating content for Kenyan social media audiences
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience in product mockup photography or 3D rendering
- Motion graphics or video editing skills (After Effects, CapCut)
- Experience designing for print — understanding of CMYK, bleed, resolution

Customer Support Specialist
Support
You will be the voice of Design Yangu — the first person customers and designers interact with when they need help. You will handle queries across WhatsApp, email, and chat, resolve order issues, and ensure every customer leaves the interaction feeling valued.
What You Will Do
- Respond to customer enquiries via WhatsApp, email, and in-app chat within defined SLA targets
- Help customers navigate the design studio, place orders, and track deliveries
- Process return and refund requests following our policy, escalating when needed
- Support designers with account setup, payout queries, and marketplace questions
- Collect and escalate product feedback to the product and engineering teams
- Maintain the customer support knowledge base and FAQ documentation
- Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to reduce ticket volume
What We Are Looking For
- Fluent in both English and Swahili — written and spoken
- 1+ year of customer-facing experience (any industry)
- Excellent written communication skills — clear, warm, and professional
- Patience, empathy, and strong problem-solving ability
- Comfortable using WhatsApp Business, email, and basic support tools
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet work environment if working remotely
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience in e-commerce or technology customer support
- Familiarity with M-Pesa and Kenyan payment systems
- Experience using helpdesk tools (Freshdesk, Zendesk, or similar)
