Common questions
I already sell on Instagram. Why do I need this?
Instagram DMs are a full-time job. You negotiate prices, follow up on payments, coordinate delivery, manage every buyer separately. Design Yangu handles all of it. Your Instagram becomes the marketing channel. Design Yangu becomes the shop. They work better together than either does alone.
Who prints the products? What's the quality?
We work with a Nairobi-based print partner. Kenya-made, Kenya-delivered. We've tested the products. If quality ever disappoints a buyer, we refund them — and it doesn't come out of your royalties.
What if my designs don't sell?
Honest answer: we don't know which of your designs will sell. But we've done research on what Kenyan buyers are looking for right now. When you sign up, we'll share that intel with you. You design with data. Not guesswork.
Do I have to be in Nairobi?
No. You just need a phone or laptop to upload your designs. We print and ship everywhere in Kenya.
What's the royalty rate?
You earn a percentage of every sale. The rate is set at signup — it's the same for all founding designers. It won't change without your consent. We're not here to squeeze designers. That defeats the point.
When does the 5-spot limit actually close?
When the 5th founding designer uploads their first design. Not at midnight. Not by calendar date. The counter stops when the 5th person acts. You control your own deadline.
