Custom Merch in Kenya: Your First Order Guide (What to Expect, How It Works)
Ordering custom merch in Kenya for the first time? Here's exactly what to expect — from uploading your design to M-Pesa checkout to delivery at your door.
You've been thinking about it for a while. A custom tee for the team. A personalised mug as a gift. Hoodies for the squad. Tote bags for the chama.
We hear this a lot. So this guide exists for exactly you — the person who's interested but not quite sure what to expect.
Design Yangu is a marketplace, which means you don't have to bring your own design (though you can).
Start at designyangu.com/marketplace and browse designs created by Kenyan artists and illustrators. You'll find everything from bold Nairobi street art to minimalist Swahili typography to bold Afrocentric patterns.
Already have your own design? That works too. When you customise your order, you can upload your own artwork — a company logo, a chama name, a photo, an event graphic.
Once you've found a design you love, select your product. On each product page, you'll see:
Product type — T-shirt, hoodie, mug, tote bag, phone case Size options — S through XXL for apparel (size guide is on the product page) Colour options — Available colours per product
"What size should I order?" Use the size guide on the product page. If you're ordering for someone else and you're not sure, size M or L is typically the safe choice for adults in Kenya. Unisex cuts run slightly large.
